With Chroniques de l’horizon scellé, Joris Mathieu offers a plunge into Hoffmann’s fantastical universe. The work reveals the existence of an unknown “Zone”. Inspired by the landscapes of Andrei Tarkovsky’s film Stalker, where several visions of the world coexist without converging, the Zone welcomes travellers who pass through it, pressing forward and observing. The group’s perspectives diverge, reference points shift, and convergence becomes impossible. On stage, reflections and projections superimpose perceptions.
